Abstract

This study is reaching out to socially isolated older and vulnerable adults (so-called shielded groups) during COVID-19. The aim is to understand how voice assistants - in this case, the Amazon Echo Show is accepted and used in households that are socially isolating. The hope is that the outcomes of this research can provide society with insight into how voice assistants can support people with health and care needs, especially during a pandemic.
